Fall Farmer/Buyer Meet & Greet and Workshop on Adding/Increasing Wholesale Sales on Your Farm

5:30-7:15pm - Adding/Increasing Wholesale Sales in Your Operation: Farmers, join CISA, Sean Buchanan from Black River Produce, Bill Barrington from Pioneer Valley Growers Association, and Matt Boulanger from Whole Foods Market to learn about food safety and other wholesale requirements, the wholesale market needs, how to build wholesale relationships, and much more. Michael Botelho from the MA Department of Agricultural Resources will also be present to share information about the Commonwealth Quality Program and give an update on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), including who's covered and the basic requirements of FSMA now that rules have been finalized.
7:15-8:30pm - Farmer/Buyer Networking: Following the panel discussion, wholesale buyers and Local Hero member farmers are invited to participate in buyer/farmer networking. Presenters from the wholesale workshop will also be available for one-on-one conversation during the networking session. Come build new business relationships!
