Mass Hort's Second Annual School Gardens Conference

The Gardens at Elm Bank, The Massachusetts Horticultural Society's education facility is located at 900 Washington Street, Wellesley MA 02482,

This conference will provide a full day of workshops and how-to talks that will cover a wide array of school gardens related topics.

This conference is intended for teachers, administrators, students, parents, mentors, librarians, civic organizations, preservations; anyone interested in advancing garden-based education for the youth in their communities!  The day will feature workshops that explore regional best practices and speakers will share their expertise and experience on topics from establishing and funding a garden, sustaining the longterm care by generating community support, maintaining the garden throughout the summer, addressing special needs, benefits of garden-based education for all, standards-based curriculum, connecting gardens to the cafeteria and edible education, planting to support native habitats, STEM education and many other options!
