UMass Amherst Sustainable Food and Farming students part of Professor John Gerber’s "Writing for Sustainability" class will hold a farmer panel-expo at UMass Amherst's Earthfoods Cafe in the Student Union.
Representatives from organizations offering financial, land access, and technical resources to farmers will have informational booths.
Starting at 4:30pm, a diverse panel of successful new farmers will share highlights of their career experiences. After, networking will continue with local organic treats.
The purpose of this event is to gather new farmers of diverse backgrounds, identities and ages, in order to provide them with resources to work successfully in inclusive farm settings. Please come, and bring a farmer friend!
