Add language and change metricsystem and currency

Hi, would like to try out your crop planning tool. It all look great. But to be fully useful for us in our CSA we would need a version where a few data entries could be changed. Since we also have english speaking persons in our project we would need to add more likely then change the whole scheme. For example here in Europe we have as you all know a different metric system, we would also like to change the currency to Swedish kronor, and names for the crops in Swedish simply so the csa members understand what they are growing in Swedish.

One-Time Price Variations

John asked, "And in the Distribution tab if I over ride the formula in the Value column and just enter in a number, will that mess anything up anywhere? Some sales are kind of one-of or temporarily different then the usual pricing scheme, not worth a whole new scheme, but I would like the form to reflect the actual value."

Paper Records Templates

John asked, "I noticed that in your paper records templates under "Greenhouse Records" there are some data points that don't have a corresponding place in the online version. Is that for a future version, or did I miss it?"

It's true that the paper records have some fields that don't exist in the online version. These extra fields were created at the request of the veggie production manager at the farm where I work, and I have no specific plans for including them in the system. If they aren't useful to you, don't bother with them.

Which Crops / Varieties To Track?

John asked me, "Do you have a recommended way to track crop variety? Just put another entry under crop type? Might the crop list get too long and cumbersome then, and the crop report become less relevant? Or use the succession field? Seems like it could work for tracking variety, especially if it could be tied to crop type somehow."

Updated platform, added example data

Hi everybody,

I just finished updating the tool to the new version of Google Sheets, and it's working like a dream now; it's much faster, some persistent bugs are resolved, and it even looks better. I also cleaned up some things under the hood to streamline it, and I added quite a bit of example distribution and CSA data to mess around with. I still want to add more labor data to the FarmLog sheet, but it's looking pretty good now. It's not too late to sign up to be a beta tester! illyblc@gmail.com
