draft power

Purpose: The Northeast Animal Power Field Days is a weekend of working animal and equipment demonstrations, workshops, roundtables and socializing. Come to see how draft power can work for you, get advice from national and local experts on starting with and working with draft animals, learn what equipment you might need to get started, “farmhack” ideas for draft power equipment, and explore other aspects of farming with draft power that interest you.

Fall event - Date and Location TBD

This FarmHack event will focus on: -Draft equipment (purchasing, repairs, maintenance, modification, fabrication, and use) -Caring for your animals (housing, upkeep, day-to-day routines) -Documentation (low-cost, effective information sharing techniques) -Teamster talk (open discussion on farming with draft animals, Q & A)

Looking for: -Volunteers (planning, set-up, cooking, parking, clean-up, etc.) -Draft power equipment modification (examples, ideas, designs) -Sponsors (ka-ching!)
