Since this is open source perhaps you could post some data on how to build one? Hardware, software, schematics, etc.?

Hi there. I've been hoping someone would make an Open Hardware version of this design (post in the ground with microcontroller and solar panel on top) for some time now. I'm working a project called Open Pipe Kit where the goal is write a piece of software that can live on a small Linux machine like Raspberry Pi or BeagleBone Black that can pull data from any sensor and push it to any database (online or offline).
