Hello Everyone Here we are trying to make farmer job easy by using computer vision. We are making here a smart spray system which can distinguish between crop and weeds and spray to individual weeds, capable of giving selective weed control using non selective herbicides, hot water, vinegar or other solution based on placement. We are also building app for smart phones which will serve as decision support system. Soon will be available at app stores.
I recently started a Pinterest "board" concerned with "rural methods, tools, and equipment". This consists of "pins" (descriptive entries with pics) about methods, technologies, repurposing options, technique details, and tips of potential value to small farms and to homesteads. It's not aimed at the multi-generation conventional farm, nor at the corporate farm.
I like the embeded google document spreadhseet as a method for documenting the bill of materials. I just edited the tool template http://farmhack.org/tools/tool-template#wiki to recommend this practice.

A fan, at the ridge of a greenhouse, ducting into the ground, or under a water or dirt container, will store the heat, and eliminate the need for a window( which is more heat loss, even when not in use, and is expensive). Perhaps lining the duct with insulation could get more of the heat into the heat sink, and less of it wasted in the ground.
