Hi, i would like to host a build-it weekend at the Firehouse, for farmers and tool makers. The tool proposed is the adabio jiffy hitch, which makes picking up and dropping off implements from a tractor faster, easier, and safer. Attached is the pdf for this tool, in French. The proposed weekend is November 9,10. The Firehouse is 98 Reed Rd Wesport MA. Are you interested? Are any other farmers interested? Do any farms actually want to order such a tool in advance? How to run a Farmhack event
Running a superlative, memorable and effective event is not rocket-science, but it is a learned artform. Take it seriously, and bring some whimsy. Farmhack events are generally co-organized by a small team, usually take at least a few hundred hours of coordination, and generally end up costing at least 500 dollars all told in hard costs. Take it seriously.

Several members of the Farm Hack team just got back from the World Maker Faire in NYC this past weekend. The Farm hack area had great deal of traffic all weekend with lots of questions, interest and interaction with the group of tools we brought from all over New England. The tools included everything from pedal powered root washer, water pump, and tractors, and flame weeder, to aerial imagery equipment and electronic field sensors.
