I'm a veteran mail carrier, and future farmer. I'm looking for apprentiship type opportunities throughout the U.S. and possibly elsewhere. I'm interested in sustainable architecture, permaculture, organic hydro/aquaponics, and becoming a generalist. I've pursued Civil Engineering obtaining an associate degree, but had a hard time financially working and going to school, so I took a job offer with the Post Office. My work ethic and curiosity are second to none. I've been tinkering with small scale organic growing with raised beds and making my own compost with a fair amount of sucess.
I'm very interested in using fido for several projects. We just filled up a freezer with beef and it is not in the most accessible location to notice if it is broken. But there is WiFi!
I'm interested in both the raspberry pi as well as the android phone version. The easiest and cheapest for me is the android since I have an old gsm galaxy nexus with screen issues but that runs fine for short periods of screen on time and perfect for screen off. Is the apk available to setup reporting if I buy the 3.5mm headphone thermometer and an extension cord?
Any reason why this couldn't be used to introduce outside air into a freezer? Any unique considerations for doing this to keep food frozen?

Does this provide any support for livestock farming. For example: Beef cattle, diary cattle, goats, horses, sheep, ...? I'm looking for something that keeps track of all the farming Best Practices for the various industries and USDA/NRCS (and even a number of states and communities).

Can you post the design info for this - I'd love to make one so I can organize all of our 3-point implements - and keep them organized. And that hitch ball is a great idea for moving trailers!
