I thought that the OpenHour would be more appropriately posted as a forum topic but I was unable to embed it as an iframe link--> I put it in the tool wiki instead but I'm not sure it really belongs there. Any ideas?
Hey hacker/maker/mycologists! I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on oyster mushrooms fruiting vessels for indoor and outdoor cultivation. I have been using 5gallon buckets which are free and food grade, drilled holes along the sides and wine corks to cap them. Anyone out there have a sweet diy/dit models for fruiting vessels or fruiting systems?! Any ideas would be great! -martin
I'm planning a 4-H Maker Festival in Leesburg, VA 10/4. I'd love to have a showcase of agricultural inventions such as this one at the event. Do you know of anyone in the Northern Virginia / Maryland area that I could reach out to?
Very cool idea, thanks for posting! Can you add some photos to your documentation, please?
I am researching growing garlic on 2.5 acres we own. I would like to know more information about this garlic planter. Specifically cost? We have a 1949 ford tractor. Will our tractor be able to hook up to this unit? Does our tractor have enough power to pull this unit?
Thank you. David
Would it make sense to have a way to fix the fork so you don't have to correct the steering as you go down the row? My first thought is drilling a hold through the head tube and putting a removable pin (cotter or similar) through it.
I do like what you've posted and the links you've offered. I like the general design of the sewer-pipe drum dibbler, and the list of materials and the discussion.
There are quite a few hints. However, to actually build the drum dibbler from what's now given, I'd be doing a lot of guess work and trial-and-error. Of course I could do this, but I believe your intent is to make the process of DIY construction an easy one.
